Abstract

The study presents the North Atlantic cyclones sampling which determine the hydrometeorological conditions of the territory of Belarus. An assessment of cyclone characteristics and their trends was provided. An increase in the number of days with North Atlantic cyclones and an insignificant increase in the number of days with southern cyclones was established. In summer, there is a decrease in the number of days with cyclonic activity. A distance decrease between cyclone trajectories and the borders of Belarus in winter is shown. It led to increases the warming effect on the weather in Belarus.

Abstract

A number of issues related to the possibility of applying of the methodology for the formation of the indicator for SDG 6.6.1 “Change in the extent of water-related ecosystems over time” in Belarus are considered. The analysis of the possibility of using international approaches and indicators to assess the dynamics of changes in the area of water-related ecosystems in Belarus was carried out, the categories of surface water bodies for which it is advisable to measure were identified, the possibility of using the base period and subsequent measurement periods for our republic within the requirements of the international methodology was evaluated, the method of calculating changes in the dynamics of the area of water-related ecosystems and available measuring instruments was evaluated. To fulfill task 6.6 of SDG 6 on ensuring the protection and restoration of water-related ecosystems according to indicator 6.6.1, the project of national methodology for assessing the dynamics of changes in the area of water-related ecosystems of the Republic of Belarus has been developed.

SOIL AND LAND RESOURCES

Abstract

In the article, based on the analysis of works devoted to the issues of geological and economic assessment of common minerals and legal norms for the use of different types of land for mining purposes in the Republic of Belarus, the author’s approach to ranking the land fund of the territory of the Brest region according to acceptability to open-pit mining is proposed. Taking into account the proposed approach, various types of land plots of the territory of the studied region were combined into groups (six groups were formed in total), for each of which weight coefficients were calculated based on the use of expert methods. Using the desktop software package ArcGIS 10.5, a digital raster model was formed that reflects the spatial features of the distribution of selected land groups with weights calculated based on them. The proposed approach to land ranking can be used when conducting similar studies in other regions of Belarus.

Abstract

A consolidated taxonomic list of benthic diatoms of the Volta River and Elnyanka River of various types, which springhead in the Yelnya Republican Significance Reserve is given. An analysis of the taxonomic and ecological-geographical structure of diatom complexes was carried out. The following are calculated for watercourses: the Jaccard floristic commonality coefficient is 18%, the saprobity index for the Volta River is 3.6, and the Elnyanka River is 1.3. The species diversity of these rivers is not high and represented by 54 species and intraspecific taxa in total (for the Volta River – 37, Elnyanka River – 27). The obtained information reflects the state of the transformed and natural river ecosystems.

Abstract

To organize a huge number of pharmaceutical products, the World Health Organization has developed the Anatomical Therapeutic Chemical classification (ATC). In the ATC system, active substances are divided into different groups depending on the organ or system on which they act, as well as their therapeutic, pharmacological and chemical properties. In this system, each drug is given a five-level code, each symbol of which determines its belonging to a particular group. The ATC classification is used to collect and analyze statistical data on the consumption of medicines, create an information database of medicines, assess the safety of medicines, analyze cases of incorrect prescription or dispensing of medicines, and create registers of pharmaceutical products. This paper presents the ATC classification of biologically active substances of some representatives of the family Lamiaceae subfamily Nepetoideae.
